Garnier Perfect Blur 5 sec

Hi Lovelies,

Hope your all having a great week!
Today I have a quick review of a product I purchased awhile ago now and have been using for quite some time.

The Garnier Perfect Blur 5 sec

1 2
It is a smoothing base perfector. It claims to visibly reduce the appearance of wrinkles, imperfections, pores and shine in just 5 seconds! Using light reflectors. “Immediately skin looks younger”

I personally struggle with very enlarged pores on my nose 😦 they are so big and no matter what I do they never seem to appear minimized.
Big pores are my enemy!
I also get a very oily nose (from the sebum in the pores) and occasionally get pimples around that area aswell. However I also get peeling dry skin on my nose too either from using really drying products to try minimize pore size or to help with pimples orrrr from….. well I hate to admit it but yes it is true I cannot help myself and sometimes squeeze my nose to clear the pores! I know that this is naughty and I shouldn’t do it but as I said I can’t help it, it’s like the devil on my shoulder is encouraging me whilst the angel is on strike.
Point is some days the skin on my nose is not co-operating and it needs a bit of extra help to make the foundation sit better and look flawless. Plus I will try just about anything that says it helps to minimize or ‘blur’ the look of pores!
So when I saw this at Priceline I obviously had to try it. I used a little on back of my hand whilst in store and as it says it blurred the look of pores and smoothed in less than 5 seconds.
I liked the feel of it and went ahead and purchased.

I now use this product daily on my nose area only. You can use it all over your face however I only require it on my nose.
I find it a great product for what I need it to do. Smooth my nose area and blur any imperfections and pores.
It doesn’t necessarily fully cover or disguise the pores but it does help minimize the look of them and make them not so obvious when your up close and personal looking right at my face! ;o
It gives a base for my foundation to stick to when foundation just won’t stay.
And makes my skin feel silky smooth like velvet.

Price is not exactly cheap at about $17 for 22mls.

If you have tried this product yourself I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
Or if you have ideas, remedies, products or anything that I can try for these damn pores I would also love you forever if you shared your knowledge with me 🙂

Makeup removing routine

Makeup removing routine

It’s important to remove your makeup after every day of use.
Leaving makeup on when you go to sleep at the end of the day can create problems for your skin, it can block your pores and cause pimples and no one wants pimples!! D:

These are the products I use to remove my makeup –

First I use the facial cleansing wipes, I prefer the scented one (green packet)
However the blue packet is unscented for anyone who prefers (fragrance free)
I purchase them from Woolworths,
Every couple of months they have them on sale, for 2 for $3.

I then use a clean facial wipe and use Estee Lauder’s ‘Gentle eye makeup remover’

And then I finish off with Estee Lauder’s ‘perfectly clean splash away foaming cleanser’

Then I usually just pat my face dry with a clean towel or paper towel.

I don’t wear makeup every day so I don’t have a big face cleaning routine, I don’t use too many products, but these are the things that work for me and I definitely recommend them.

Tip: Lot’s of beauty experts don’t recommend using baby wipes to remove makeup, as it doesn’t have the same ability to clean your face as it’s made to clean baby’s bottom.

So don’t forget to clean your face before you go to sleep!
